Abby has started a new chapter in her life today... the building of a new smile. This will be a 2 year process and she just took the first step with a full set of braces on her top teeth. Sometime in the next 4-5 months, she will get a full set of bottom braces, a bite plate & rubberbands to bring her jaw forward. Eventually, she will have her upper gum line modified to reveal more of tooth surface.
It is amazing how subtle the clear brackets and rubber bands make the braces appear. It is hard to see the difference in the before and after pics.
Tonight, there is some discomfort and one sore spot being covered by dental wax. She is being a trooper with the help of ibuprofen and is excited about the future transformation her smile is going to go through once complete. I hope she is able to maintain her initial vigilance over the next 20 months.

Patience is a virtue...and pain is her sister!! hahahahaha Keep popping the Advil. It will so be worth all the pain when it is all said and done.
