Over the moon

On Saturday evening, a gorgeous almost full-moon peaked up over the horizon of the trees. It was so orange and beautiful!
I've always been fascinated with how different the moon can look each evening. Depending on the phase, cloud conditions and time of year. The harvest moon is by far my favorite. I love the wonderful orange hue on a cool, crisp September evening.
Plus, it was a simply a wonderful evening to be gathered around the campfire enjoying s'mores over the the crackling flames of a great smelling fire with friends.
When it was time to go back home, the once glowing, orange moon had changed to a silvery beacon in the night.
