I have been working on some crafts around the house. Nothing really big, but every little project is a good mood lifter for me. I seldom remember to take before pictures when I dig into something because I am usually just excited to get started.
The only exception is this outdoor love-seat facelift. The dark green paint needed to be freshened and the cushions replaced.
Some gloss black paint did the trick along with new brick-red striped cushions and pillows from Home Depot. Bella thinks it is comfortable. I did notice that I have inadvertently taken a before picture of the deck which Steve has since stained. I'll have to do a separate post on Steve's summer projects.
This little chair on the front porch was chipped, kinda white and very dirty. I used some spray paint to transform it to a cute little purple plant stand. No before pictures, but look, another example of the decking in its before state.
This cute jewelry holder was an idea I took from my BFF, Lori. It consisted of an antique store find of a large 20X24 inch banged up $2 frame, which I spray painted black and some chicken wire stapled on by my handy hubby to the back. Little S hooks allow my many necklaces to be displayed in style in our bedroom. Looks like a work of art to me!
Another antique store find from Hendricks, MN was this very detailed 8X10 frame for $1.50. It was a blah wooden frame, which was transformed with ivory toned spray paint and then antiqued by rubbing walnut stain on it. The stain really shows off the beautiful detail in the frame.
I didn't come up with anything very original to use the frame for. It has since become the third item on the new floating shelf my hubby hung up in the livingroom. I have a few other crafts that I have been working on sporadically. Of course, no before or during pictures have been taken, but I can gather some after pictures to highlight... perhaps... maybe... sometime... later... however, seeing that I actually started this post over a month ago... don't hold your breath.

I can totally identify with your missing before shots! Your crafts turned out great! I especially love the frame. Very shabby chic!
I'm so glad you have little pieces of Hendricks around your home & yard!
I LOVE your transformations! My favorite is the white frame. I love it just like it is...yet is has possibilities too! Fun stuff. I love the patio furniture redo. Can't wait to come sit outside with you and visit!
